St. Joseph’s Philosophical Institute: My Foundational Years (2013–2016)
"My three years of philosophical studies at St. Joseph’s, from 2013 to 2016, were far more than an academic requirement; they were the period where I cultivated a unified vision of Truth and Knowledge. This training challenged me to develop a philosophical attitude—one that allows me to critically evaluate the world while making reason a handmaid to faith.
In the rich and varied context of India, our formation was designed to integrate the human, spiritual, intellectual, religious, and missionary dimensions of our vocation. I learned that true growth depends on the harmony of four pillars: fraternal life, prayer, work, and study. Deepening my understanding of philosophy and its cognate sciences demanded rigorous effort, but it was this discipline that matured my religious life. Beyond the books, these years emphasized the importance of a rooted Franciscan, communal identity under the guidance of my mentors. This period of intense study remains the bedrock of my current perspective as a friar and a filmmaker.
