Francesco Theological Institute
The Francesco Theological Institute has been the cornerstone of my theological grounding and spiritual development. My time there was deeply transformative, shaping both my intellectual horizon and my Franciscan identity.
Theological & Spiritual Formation
My formation at Francesco was rooted in a commitment to Contextualization, which allowed me to bridge the depth of traditional theology with the living reality of the Church in India. This process encouraged a "theologizing" approach that is not merely academic but deeply connected to our pastoral mission.
Central to this experience was Franciscan Spirituality. Living and studying under the patronage of St. Francis of Assisi, I learned to integrate the ideals of simplicity, fraternity, and humility into the rigors of theological study. It taught me that our intellectual pursuits must always serve our commitment to the Gospel and the service of others, fostering a character formation that balances scholarly efficiency with heartfelt pastoral involvement.
My Formative Years
My journey within the institute was defined by several key milestones that prepared me for my life as a friar:
Philosophical Foundations (2013 – 2016): These years established the intellectual framework for my later studies, teaching me to think critically and reflect deeply on the human condition.
Theological Maturity (2017 – 2020): During this period, the curriculum and community life deepened my understanding of the Sacraments, Scripture, and the history of our Order.
Service and Integration (2020 – 2021): My final years provided the bridge from study to active ministry, ensuring that the spirituality I cultivated in the classroom could be translated into compassionate service in the field.
These years were not just about earning a degree; they were about being molded by the history, the brothers, and the quiet, persistent grace that defines the Francesco tradition.
