LITO1 LITURGY OF THE SACRAMENTS
Liturgy of the Hours is the prayer of Christ and of the Church. It Consecrates time and continues the sacrifice of praise. The Origin and development of the Liturgy of the hours in the early Church, in the monastic and cathedral traditions and the reform of the Divine Office are dealt with in the first part. Constituent parks like psalms, canticles, readings, hymns and prayers and the spirituality of the Divine Office are dealt with in the second part.
The development from the Lord's Supper to the present rite of the Mass in the Roman rite is dealt with in the third part. The celebration of the Eucharist in the Eastern rites are referred to. The structure and the elements of the Eucharistic celebration, its different Eucharistic prayers are dealt with in the fourth part. Special questions like concelebration, eucharistic cult outside the Mass, creation of new eucharistic prayers are dealt with in the last part.
